0000418: Cannot install logrotate

When I installed logrotate with
#lin -r logrotate
My lunar box show error below.

busybox and busybox_static linking fails with:
libbb/lib.a(appletlib.o):(.rodata.applet_main+0x398): undefined reference to `ionice_main'
building of ionice is disabled in the BUILD file of the module.
See the line below the note of tchan.

0000417: lvu urls doesn't add / between path and filename

lvu urls doens't add a / between path and filename.
the url will only be shown correctly if the download path has a / at the end.

0000416: bridge-utils needs latest kernel-headers

Hi,

lin bridge-utils does not report any error but the application is not built because of missing headers.

I failed to build bridge-utils with:
- linux-2.6.31.6
- kernel-headers-2.6.30.7

I successfully built bridge-utils with:
- linux-2.6.31.6
- kernel-headers-2.6.31.6

After updating the xf86-video-intel module to version 2.7.1, X doesn't starts.

I just installed lunar linux. Following man lfirsttime I 'lin -cr coreutils' and the install errors out with the following:

the mythtv module has optional_depends on mythtv_plugins and mythtv_themes modules... both of them should have actual hard dependencies on mythtv (both of them fail compilation if mythtv is not installed)

0000345: Allow timeout on %ALIAS selection for unattended lunar update

If a module depends on an %ALIAS, an unattended 'lunar update' will
wait until you select an option, without timing out, even if you have
already selected an option at some point in the past. The overnight
'lunar update' doesn't complete as expected.

0000353: view_file doesn't support ISO-8859 text

well, the summary gives it all away..
in /var/lib/lunar/functions/view.lunar there is no case for ISO-8859.
Currently there isn't but if there would be a module which does install filenames
with ISO-8859 encoding(like 'glest', which i'm currently preparing)
`lvu install ` would/does exit without showing an install-log.

btw: the defaults for Moonbase Version/Core Tools Version in this bugtracker
should be updated(there're still 200_7_) ;)

0000413: glibc 2.10.1 doesn't build with binutils 2.20

configure from glibc 2.10.1 checks for the version of binutils 2.20 (which should be >= 2.15).
because of a incorrect check in glibc 2.10.1 configure is binutils version of 2.20 not recognized as correct.

lunar fix could hang on grep waiting for stdin in some special occasions.

0000407: removing depends in zlocal keeps depends from the moonbase version

When editing DEPENDS of a module by lvu edit, lin still thinks the module depends on them.
Even after run lunar fixdepends lsh create_module_index lsh create_depends_cache and lin -r

0000386: bind creates useless named.root which does not contain IP addresses

POST_INSTALL for bind contains:

Which it should not do, because "dig . ns" on my PC, with "nameserver 208.67.222.222" (which is one of OpenDNS's servers) in /etc/resolv.conf creates only this:

There is no ";; ADDITIONAL SECTION:" containing IP addresses there, so bind is useless because it doesn't know the IP addresses of the root servers, and so can't contact them.

That "dig" command should not be used - instead, simply always run:
cp $SCRIPT_DIRECTORY/named.root /var/named/

0000405: removing acl breaks coreutils

there is no module depending in acl in moonbase.
but coreutils and sed are linked to it.
removing acl will make the system unusable.

Dear Sir:
Our organization has a policy for all user must sign in the squid proxy with user/password while they need to access internet.
For this policy, I cannot update or install lunar-linux with new package.
Where can i put user/password on lunar-linux for my proxy system?

libgnome crashed during build. It was looking for libltdl.so.3

did: ln -s /usr/lib/libltdl.so /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3

lin -cr libgnome then proceeded to finish without error.

bbconf can not find qt during build so it stops.
I have qt3 and qt4 installed.

That's the case:

I've written a modification of sodipodi module in zlocal because I had libgnomeprint, libgnomeprintui, ... installed on my system only for sodipodi module (as said by lvu depends sodipodi). So I search in the sodipodi configure and see that I can disable libgnomeprint support so I wrote a modification for myself in zlocal for the module changing:

depends libgnomeprintui

for:

optional_depends "libgnomeprintui" "--with-gnome-print" "--without-gnome-print" "for gnome print frontend"

And then I uninstall the unused libraries (libgnomeprintui and dependencies not used anymore) and recompile sodipodi without libgnomeprintui but still wants to intall libgnomeprintui, ... again

I ran lunar fixdepends, but still the same so I have a look at /var/state/lunar/depends

and is correct:

sodipodi:libgnomeprintui:off:optional:--with-gnome-print:--without-gnome-print

but not in /var/state/lunar/depends.cache: (two separate set of entries for sodipodi)

one set with: sodipodi:libgnomeprintui:required:::
another one with the line: sodipodi:libgnomeprintui:optional:--with-gnome-print:--without-gnome-print:for gnome print frontend

So depends.cache is not being well managed.
